Abstract: As of June, 2011, each parcel that is affected by a change in rezoning has the current OIC/MO. In some cases, OIC's and MO's are too numerous to mention therefore only the original OIC/MO along with the most current OIC/MO will show. The current OIC/MO may apply to any number of parcels within a Development Area Regulation Boundary. Municipal zoning changes are passed by 3rd reading of Bylaws. This data is updated within 1 week of passing a Bylaw, OIC, or MO.Distributed from GeoYukon by the Government of Yukon. Purpose: Contains all Zoned parcels of land within the Yukon that pertains to Development Area Regulation(s). Changes to zoning parcels are passed by Order in Council (OIC) or Ministerial Order (MO). Zoning parcels fall within a Development Area Regulation Boundary. Each Development Area maintains parcels with unique zoning designations. This layer of data also includes some Municipalities in the Yukon. Land Planning Branch maintains their zoning information as they have no mapping resources.

Resource lineage:
Lineage statement: Older zoning parcels came from digitizing old mylars, paper copies, or from Plan documents. Newer zoning parcels were first digitized using AutoCAD software and traced to this layer. Origins were from UTM NAD 83, Zones 7 through 10. Current zoning parcels are now digitized using ArcMap and in some cases, AutoCAD software.
